PS3 stuck on startup randomly

Hello,

a ps3 i downgraded successfully(everything went without errors at all) started a weird problem...
when i turn on the ps3 most of the times it stuck on startup with a solid green light... the controller doesnt sync and there is no output at all.
but when it does manage to start it works perfectly(played with it for few hours. all fine). one more thing i noticed is if i turn on the ps3 right after a good run it will always start normally... the ps3 stuck only when its cold...
tried turning the ps3 into recovery\factory service but still the same... if it does mange to start all OK but still most of the times its stuck on green light...
i thought it may be a temp issue but i replaced the thermal compound before reassembling the ps3 plus the problem accured only at the startup when the ps3 is not even close to hot(and i played for a few hours when it started and everything was fine).

any help will be much appreciated!!

thanks

You might be getting a pre ylod because of your gpu might have a fine crack in the solder. which guide did you follow for the downgrade ?

The guide you are following the best advice I can give you is to contact bailey by a private message. Well for the ylod or videos problems do come from the gpu chips or the hdmi chip.

your very welcome. but for fixing any ylod do not fix it by a heat gun not very good results. The best way to fix it is a reflow station.

@jamesnesc709 is right on the money
your GPU is in the early YLOD stage
as the controller doesnt connect and the hdmi / composite doesnt work this points to GPU as the GPU turns on first then b/t then hdmi controller chip.

i recomend sending it for a reball

a re-flow should just be done to comfirm a re-ball will have a 70%+ chance of working.

if you ask for a re-ball then all good re-workers will re-flow first to see if it it solves it THEN they will re-ball
as your GPU works after the system has warmed up then you can see a re-ball will work.
