outside links are permitted as long as they do not directly link to copyright material such as warez/cracks/SDK/debug FW etc

linking to other sites to show source of info etc is permitted and i would like to think of it as common sense to source all info correctly

linking to sites where fixes reside is also ok as long as its not linking to warez download page etc. again common sense applies.

Thanks to @hellsing9 , @Simonbuck , and @japsander , for helping resolve this situation. As for the OP, it was in fact linked to the warez download page originally, but it was changed thanks to the combined effort of a couple of us. I hope we all learned a little from this, I know I did.

PS. Those tthousands might be me
