Eh, there could be the possible "Double Agent" in the TB ranks.

But at this point TB has not made good on their threat to literally wipe (the HDD using) their competitors device. At least so far. The longer this goes on the most likely scenario is that it was malarkey.

Still being the "Devs" or "Script Kids" with a penchant for profit they concocted a scheme to sell a lower end product under a different name a a cash grab for those who were holding out for clone at a lower cost. Then comes the threat "Your drive will be wiped if you use a clone!!". Causing those who are fearful to stop using the clone and of course buy the original.
Then there is the proprietary discs for certain games.

Here's what's gonna happen (yes, I'm psychic)
JBK will magically "learn" how to make their "own" eboot fixes, and TB will disappear. Tons of butthurt TB fanbois will wail and throw ashes on themselves when they find the JBK eboots don't work with TB. And TB eboots won't work with JBK dongles. (this will be explained as "fixing the HD corruption issue", which actually doesn't even exist) JBK will, however, be more than happy to sell TB fanbois their JBK dongle! Meanwhile, the (same) people behind both dongles will *laugh*... ah, aren't these the best of times?
