Time to sell my PS3?
OK had a a little scare last night, my PS3 crashed.
Slim PS3, playing MAG for a few hours and it just froze with the image ending up distorted and discoloured, almost like if you had a dead graphics card. So question is does it sound like my gpu is on its way out or was it an overheat problem or random crash? PS3 restarted without any problems though and display is fine and continued playing MAG without problems for another hour.

If it happens again then I be concerned If not maybe just a game/PS3 glitch.
Have you owned the ps3 for long? maybe a lot of dust is in the ps3, do the ps3 fan test to clean the dust out but don't do it to often I've read it can cause damage.

DON'T DO THE FAN TEST TO CLEAN YOUR PS3 FROM DUST. Use a vacuum and hold it about an inch away from ur ps3 and slowly move across the opennings. Then, get an air compressed can and blow out the dust. Repeat that once or twice a month and your good to go.
