Go Back to OFW from Kmeaw 5.55
I installed Kmeaw 3.55 a year ago. I enjoyed it a lot but now I rarely have time to try anything new so I just want to be able to play my bought games online. I remember reading a long time ago that Sony detects previously jailbroken PS3s and ban them from PSN. Is there any method on avoiding this (or atleast minimizing the chance) because I don't want to end up with an OFW if I can't play online? Thanks.

1) Backup anything of worth via the backup utility.
2) Remove any spoofers you added, if any. 3) Install 3.55 OFW. 3) Format the HDD. 4) Update to the 4.00 OFW.

So I finally went through with it. Just thought I'd let everyone know how it went. I followed your instructions and no I'm running 4.11 OFW. I connected to PSN and it works fine. I guess the PSN bans for CFW was just a rumour. The only problem was that when trying to restore the data it gives me the error message "Restore could not be completed 800283F0". Not a big deal but it sucks losing all my game saves.

Nooo don't do it trade yours to someone that has a 4.10/4.11. I data transfer all the time from 3.55 to 4.11 so my multiman and Q&A are right on my XMB on my 4.11 and have never had a problem with PSN, just don't piss people of with cheats and get reported.
