Maybe the X79 is a different scenario. People have either had good or very bad experiences with asrock. So far I am pleased. Asus is the parent company of Asrock. I have however become a fan of gigabyte boards.

Read well and choose well the shipment method, i used fedex and was pricey enough to buy another pair of rams.

Welcome.

Gigabyte it's making a big place in the market, they are durable and very good mobos. I got a formula ASUS but if i want to build some other rig i will go with gigabyte.

So, do I choose another motherboard instead of asrock? Gigabyte perhaps?

Gigabyte GA-B75-D3V the second one if you go for gigabyte, as for asrock i don't know any new brand model since i tested one but i don't know how well it performs.

I do agree that you should change your motherboard brand. Asus or Gigabyte are your best choices.

Also, change that RAM for this one: http://www.assismatica.pt/categoria/...xl_449637.aspx

It costs the same but you chose a 1333MHz one and a P67 motherboard supports 1600MHz also. Long story short, the 1600MHz memory outperforms (by a little little bit) the 1333MHz one.

lol god I feel old after reading this hahaha the first tower I built had, at the time was the fastest out, a amd 1900+ and ddr just came out. Hard drives lol 80 gig and that was like 200.00 dollars. No old jokes like did I use a anvil to build it and no I didn't take the horse to go get the parts.

the problem is that the CPU only supports 1333 MHz

But is this motherboard http://www.assismatica.pt/categoria/...3v_550679.aspx compatible with the specs that I initialy posted? Is it compatible with the CPU?
And does the motherboard supports HDMI?

Don't worry about what the CPU supports. You have to look at what your motherboard manual says. If it says it supports memory up to 1600MHz or more you are fine. No matter what CPU is in it.

I'm not sure how exactly does that work. But it's a tech that automatically overclocks your CPU to work with higher frequency memories.
