Help in identifying my problem please
hi guys, It`s been a while since I`ve posted on Ps3hax, but I`m a daily reader. Anyway, Here is my problem:
I recently bought some hardware components to build 3 PCs. This is what I have on all three: 1.Kingston ValueRAM 4GB DDR3 1333MHz CL9 kit 2.Intel Core i3 2100 3.10GHz box 3.Gigabyte Radeon HD5450 1GB DDR3 64-bit 4.RPC PWPS-500WTG-AU01A power source 5. Gigabyte GA-H61M-DS2 motherboard. 6.250Gb GDD Asus(I think, not sure) 2 of them PCs are working fine, but on one, I have some issues, which are: Sometimes it won`t recognize my Hdd and I have to reboot. Sometimes it take up to 6-7 minutes to boot to OS(Win 7 Retail with updates up to date), just gets stuck after the windows logo. Sometimes it boots fine, but after a period of time(sometimes 5 mins, sometimes 1 hour) it cuts my internet connection. Either it shows a red cross where the network icon is, either it shows an yellow exclamation mark. I`ve run test on it with Hiren`s boot cd, ver 15.1 on the Hdd, videoboard and Ddram, and everything went ok. is it possible that my motherboard is dying?.It`s 2 weeks old. How can I test the motherboard(with a software program)? Or am I wrong and it could be something else? Thank you for your help.

Maybe it's the PSU or some heat problems. You already run a memcheck86?

Wow you are pretty lucky to have 3 identical pcs then!
Here the best way to find out what is wrong. Take 2 of the PCs. Remove one component from the faulty pc and put it into the working pc. Turn on pc and if it still works then that component is ok. Repeat until you find which component is causing the problem. Let us know which component it is.

I spoke on the phone with the shop that sold it to me, and after I explained the symptoms he said to send it in they will check on it. But that could take weeks..... I will try changeing the hardware between them PC`s and see if I can identify what is causing me so much problems!

For how long did you run memtest86?
When I worked at Asus sometimes we had to run memtest86 for 3 days to find corruptions ...

Hi guys. I took bigo93 `s advice and switched hardware form the other pc and still no result. Switched ddrams, bought another motherboard, same result.
I thought it was the Hdd, cause it was like 5 days old, and took it back to the shop for testing, along with the hole PC. Guess what!, it fukkcing booted in a few seconds, unlike my house, were it took him up to 4 minutes to boot to os. Anyways, the guy did some testing on the PSU and Hdd, and procesor, and ddram, and he said the PC is fine, no errors . He also said that the cause might be that the plug in the wall isn`t supplying enough power, that it may have variations (hope u understand what I mean ). So I took the pc home, and decided to try again. Every time I tried to test it, the PC was standing in a vertical position, but the guy at the shop tested it in a horizontal position. So I flipped the pc in horizontal position, and what do you know, the Siht booted to os in a couple of seconds. Shut it down, flipped it on vertical position, it hang on windows logo. Tried it a couple of times, and it only boots in horizontal position!. WTFF???? Anyone any ideas? ************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* Oh, and another thing. Now, the internet plug in the wall isn`t working properly. keeps me connected for bout 40 mins or so, and after it cuts the internet connection. I tried with 2 laptops and 1 pc. I have to unplug the wire either from the plug in the wall, or the back of the pc, laptop and the connection establishes for another 30-40-50 mins. Switched 2 connection cable, tried different port on router, same result. Should I change the hole connection wire from the router to the plug?..Or just try to change the internet plug.

Check if the processor is mounted correctly... Maybe the weight of the cooler is the cause of a bad connection between processor and the socket. Or there is a bad connection on the mobo itself somewhere?
