I like it - How many people have tried to flash other TB firmware updates to JB King dongles?
I would be interested in hearing from people who have tried this.

Even if it is not BS, you got to be careful, the fact is that TB have already added code to erase your hdd. I wouldnt put it past them that they did this on purpose to get those with clones to install it only to find out there is more suicide code, but even worse, will fry your PS3!!!
Cos who will be responsible for it? JB-King? No they did say it supports it. TB? They didnt say their fw supports other dongles, and will pass the blame onto JB-King. So people will be less inclined to buy LB-King and buy TB instead, cos who wants a completely dead PS3? Note dead as in dead, not a brick, but a code in teh dongle which forces the PS3 to pass more current through the chips which kill destroy the chips, meaning you have to buy a new PS3! Simple thing to do is do not support ANY of these dongle makers, they have helped make it into a pay-for scene, not a free scene!

There is no such thing as code "which forces the PS3 to pass more current through the chips which kill destroy the chips, meaning you have to buy a new PS3"
One could corrupt the flash and cause a ylod (which could be fixed with a flasher, as long as you have a valid dump of your console's flash), or possibly mess up syscon (permabrick, ie, doorstop), but forcing the hardware to over-volt the chips and fry them? LOL You got one thing right though: avoid dongles altogether.
