Hi there ! Today after few months out I decided to look at what's new on PS3 scene and wow so many updates ! One of the things I really excited to see under video in multiman is Create ISO when you press option and you have some Blu-Ray movie inserted. Only problem is when I Select Create ISO nothing happens. I have a Blu-Ray movie I'd like to create ISO and transfer it to my computer because I do not have blu-ray drive on pc yet. Anyone can point me to the right direction on how to create ISO from Blu-Ray movie if possible because I see option it's there just not working for whatever reason. I am on 3.55 and latest multiman 04.02.01
Thank you guys ! |

Go to SETTINGS, press [TRIANGLE] and then "Enable Direct Disc Access". Then create the ISO, transfer to your PC, decrypt and enjoy.

OH Thank you very much, never knew there is an option (triangle key) that can be used inside settings :D. Should I disable direct disk access after I complete my task or it'll reset itself on first restart or something. Once again thank you very much.

It will reset once you quit multiMAN. When in direct-disc-access-mode - do not do anything else besides ripping bd movie/dvd movie/ps2 data dvds (or launch video from DVD/BD disc to play it in Showtime). Once you're done - quit to XMB and reenter mm if you wish to do other stuff.

Just another question to
@deank
that might be relevant here too:
Is it possible with Multiman to store several BR ISO backups on the PS3 HDD under different names, or can there be only one at a time and only in that default BR ISO folder ?? Probably a stupid question, but I didn't try that feature yet so I was wondering... BTW thanks for your constant work on Multiman Dean, best app ever!

You can have up to 2048 BD movies in ISO format in BDISO folder (or 205 40GB movies split in 10 segments x 4GB if using external usb hdd). Same for all other types of content. That is if you have 8TB HDD.

so you don't have to have a bluray drive on your pc to read the ripped iso image? cuz i did it but get error every way i try. DVDShrink gives me UDF error and magiciso and poweriso just crash.

Hope someone can help please.
I got to settings to enable direct disc access, enter file manager, put disc in, go to dev bdvd, press triangle and then create iso. From there it hangs at 0% forever. I know I am probably missing a simple step and wondwer if someone can point me in the right direction. thanks |
