The ever Elusive Gran Turismo 5
Whoozaa Gents,
I am Noob, I appologise before hand if this sounds epic stupid. Gents I have a project that I am busy with and it is basically to hack into the Gran Turismo 5 game (bluRay disk) and extract the following files: - helmets - suits - cars (nice but not the initial goal) I want the helmets and suits so I can redesign them to my spec then stuff the finished product back into the game thus allowing my 'avatar' to be sweet, lekka and unique  Keep Playing the Station. |

ummb, good luck with that.. we allready have the files from the ps3 disck, they are jsut panced and encryped... if u can extract the file, then u would be a hero in many peoples eyes...

try using this http://www.scampers.org/steve/sms/other.htm it might work on gt5 it might not . i can extract files on driver san francisco but only problem is rebuilding them after editing which will probley be your problem if it works on gt5

Thanks bro,
It may be an option to send you a HD for the extracted files, otherwise would you be willing to walk me through it? In terms of rebuilding it I have a mate here in SA who is friggen good with program re-engineering. Thanks for your imput man |

That would be nice to mod such things in GT5 and other games if I can help with getting u the files or if I can help in anyway, I'm always down to mod.

Thanks Screw - I'll PM you and Carldenning a little later this afternoon regarding the plan - It may be worth seeing if as a 'team' we could sort this - double the chances of success.

ummn I think I'm getting somewhere with the GT.vol extraction. If it completes, I should have some files from it...
if it crashes I've got nothing... so don't be mad. I'm just trying to do something!! ************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* okay I got some wierd files, 14 of them. the extensions are not correct I think. there are 9 .swf files and a fer "broken" jpg files. and also one of the .swf files is marked as "broken" anyone interested in looking into them? to do this yourself, get the GT.VOL to your desktop. then use the tools in the 3rd post. open tehe explorer and try to open GT.VOL, it gives an error and starts scanning. It tahes at least an hour and sometimes it jumps. after it's complete, you can see the files in explorer. after that use the button up on the bar and extract them...
