Ha no prob, after dj recommended that program since he hadnt tried it either yet, i gave it a shot and did a movie i hadnt converted yet which had dts. Worked like a champ and playback was great on the ps3, no audio differences that i could tell so i was happy

Yeah Im just having a problem with the movies that are 1080p. Those seem to be the ones with the DTS. When I convert them, they just play audio and there is no video on the ps3. bummer : (

Im going to try to pick your brain for a sec. Ive started to understand the whole shell concept in these files and what they have to be at for the ps3 to play them. I am just having trouble with merging vc-1 with ac3 or extracting avi files to fix the audio. Is there any other software you would recommend for these files? the VC-1 file I extracted with the tsmuxer from a m2ts file. I just dont have and cant find a utility that will merge the vc-1 file back. Thanks for any help.

Ya panda didnt pick up anything either, hmm weird. Oh well bring on the trojans, they basically are just STDs for your computer. As long as you just acquire the nondeadly ones you should be good . As for the VC-1 video file i did a little research for ya on this topic and since ive never encountered this type of file before i have no experience with it. But on reading up it seems vc1 files are basically wmv files, correct me if im wrong. I use this chart all the time when i need to figure out what container can hold...well, what ha. Container Comparison

On the list it seems to mention that AVI and MP4 will hold a vc1 file. Also mkvs will but they are worthless on the ps3. So now we have to jump to the next question, audio format being ac3 we need a container that will combine both vc1 and ac3 audio. AVI is the only choice for using both the vc1 and ac3 but only one problem, vc1 will need to be converted to avi before it will add the ac3 track in a believe. Check out these, maybe they will help:

VC1 to AVI

AVI Muxer

I guess you will just have to play with this and see if it helps or not, but sorry bro just have no experience with vc1 files at all

Wow thats an awesome chart setup. Leave it to Wiki for that one. nice. Thanks I will have to mess around with this one. First I gotta get my ps3 working again. lol I put a 750GB desktop SATA drive in it and it formatted the drive then when it rebooted it came up with the wavy logo thing and it just sits there... : (
