How to install debug firmware on a CFW'd ps3.
Do not install any firmware above 3.55 or you will brick, you have been warned.
This will serve no purpose to any enduser and I am not the first person to "discover" this, but I did find this out on my own. If you use the QA flag extra package on your ps3, you can then install debug firmware while in service mode and your ps3 will boot instead of beeping. You cannot run any games, disc or HD based, it does not matter for they will not run. Most of the debug options will not work. Here's some thing else I found: Do a fan test and after it is finished quickly alternate presses of the power and eject buttons. If done correctly you will see the power light flash what I believe is a status check. Temporarily disconnect main power to resume normal operation. |
