Just bought a ps3 , on 3.72 official fw ! What do you say about downgrading it...?
My ps3 is on 3.72 ofw....
Can it be downgraded to 3.55 ? I'm asking this because I've also read somewhere, that new ps3's which are just out of the box, should not be at more than 3.55 (its first ofw).. So mine is new...& its at 3.72 ???? |

No, you cannot downgrade past factory firmware and likely will never happen, you just have to wait for a hen or cfw for 4.x

Nothing at all. You have better luck upgrading to 4.11 and waiting. Dont even think about trying any 4.xx cfw because 100% of them are fake. Only 3.55 has cfw.
I got my 2.xx ps3 on ebay for $200. Last edited by Polraudio; 05-12-2012 at 05:23 PM. |

so do u mean , i can upgrade to 4.xx (ofw) , using my wifi ??
and wont it affect later when i hv to downgrade what do u say , should i upgrade to ofw?? |

If the scene found way to jailbreak 3.72 it would stand to reason the same method would work on the latest OFW. So since you currently have no way to benefit from the current jailbreak abilities you might as well update to the latest OFW.
