E3 NOR DUMP Checker says corrupted while PS3 is working !!

I am at the 3rd step with downgrading ps3 from 4.11 using E3 Flasher limited.
I after backuping the nor I got 3 files
bkpps30.bin
bkpps31.bin
bkpps32.bin

by using the E3 NOR DUMP Checker, it says they are corrupted.

How is it possible since I have never bricked or exploited my console ? What should I do ?

my console is Fat CECHH00

It doesn't mean you have ever bricked or exploited.
It means the clip isn't on the nor chip good enough. So the flasher isn't reading the bios correctly.

Try and secure the clip better.

P.S. Don't continue without getting some error free backups. VERY IMPORTANT! Also you should use flowrebuilder to check your dumps. Choose "Byte reverse and EXTRACT a nor dump file" Then check the file sizes.

Sir, I am really feeling like giving up.
Initially, when I installed the clip , it did not work. The backup did not.
After several re-installation and sanding the clip etc, it made the backup which means the clip is correctly placed.
I havent touched the console or moved it yet the backup files were corrupted. So is it still the clip case ? do I have to sand it more ?

You probably don't have to sand more.

I am doing one today that is giving me a ton of problems.
When I first connected the clip and put it back together, I got the error 01001100. Which means clip is not on good.
So I connected the clip again, with more pressure and strong tape.
I made some dumps, which came out fine.
But when I flashed the e3_downgrade.bin to it, when it was almost done it shut off and beeped 3 times. Dam, brick.
So I soldered the wire from sbe to nor tristate. Made more pressure on the clip and got a better connection.
Put it back together and no lights on flasher.
Took it back apart and more pressure on clip and taped down with strong tape.
Then I could flash the good bios I had made originally. Fixed the brick.

The most important thing is getting that stupid clip on securely so it doesn't creep its way back off the chip when you put it back together.

Clean the contacts with alcohol too. If one contact is not extracting info from the chip it will result in a backup that is not complete.

You do not always get that error code when the all the contacts are not touching.
That is how a lot of people brick. They think oh cool I got some backups and go to the flashing step. Then they have no good backups to restore after the brick.

That is why it is so important to check your dumps. You did good so far.

I know it can be a pain. The first few ps3s I downgraded, I must of took apart 100 times.

Sir,
I have sanded the clip so much that I feel worried now.
the thing is it is obvious that it doesnt fit fully !
like the whole thing doesnt get into the chip as if the size is small !
I found this guy having the same problem with his slim tho. but I assure you it is the same with me for the fat console

Thumbs up

That's what it looks like, don't be afraid to push it firmly onto chip, using the e3 howto attach clip video as example, it wont always click like some, i guess it fully clicks on the original fat motherboard they made it for.

sanding down more wont do a thing either, put the motherboard on couple dvdcovers and gently press it onto chip, already a couple strips transparant tape onhand... and fold it along the e3 clip while pressing it down, so either side is firm against the motherboard(red lines either side e3clip- image)

i have great result with "floorprotectors" ...3 of them for fat and 1 is enough for slim(see images how it presses on the aluminium cover, that way u are positive it's connected 100%, then redump, works every single time , and if doing multiple ps3's, something like klitteband on e3clip, a fast pfat/slim-switch so to say hehe

only tape and "putting it back together" wont work, it needs a good press
and tape it down on the ribbon! so it cannot move the CLIP
