i am not understanding how is socom understading about the cheat thing (iso booting) and banning me,i did the same with other games and everything went well . . . could not find any thing on forums or google regarding this

Just go buy a legit version for a couple bucks at the closest used game store. The game was popular, and I am sure there are plenty of copies floating around dirt cheap. Like others said though, be ready for f*cked up lobby's/game's. I am sure everyone online are running codes, it was bad years ago; I can just imagine it now. I quite playing when freeze/reset codes started being used by EVERYONE.

Edit: Forgot to mention that I say to go buy a legit version because you cannot simply patch DNAS and play the game online. It will pass the DNAS authentication just fine, but the game has additional checks which will ban you. It's not a console ban though, so all you need to do is wait it out (iirc, first ban is 7 days, then 30, then perma ban) or use a new disc and sign up for a completely new account. If you use the same account with a new disc, the new disc will be banned as well.

Well the reason you got that error for socom is because it is not a backup of your original. They would ban certain discs that were pirated or used to cheat on before. If you make your own backup patched correctly it should work fine
