To my dear friends... I sent my ps3 to a repair shop to get my fan fixed... They managed to solder it back on but it still wont work... The ps3 turns on but the fan doesnt :/ does anyone know if the ps3 needs the hdd or a disk inserted for the fan to start spinning?? Or should it start when the ps3 does.. ?
they will try to find some other fan that they have in their shop and fix it that way.. Lets hope it works ![]() to everyone who added my psn xXBlu3n0vaXx for mw2 lobbies... subscribe to this thread bacause I will make updates as soon as I know more ![]() Update 1: The dude in the store has a friend that has a fat ps3 that he doesnt use and I will maybe get it for free then I can wait for my external one for the ps3 slim to arrive and then I have 2 ps3's... wich means no need to dual boot this whole thing might turn out to be great..

No it doesn't require a HDD for the fan to work. Are you sure the fan isn't working? If you are a xbox 360 owner you need to lower your expectations of noise, they can be quite quiet.

Do you have a way to test to see if there is voltage at the fan connections?
