Recently a family member updated my ps3 slim 160g from 3.55 CFW to 4.11. I know there isn't a 4.11 jailbreak but do we know if its a work in progress or...? Any info would be greatly appreciated

I don't think so. Just buy a e3 flasher.

There is no cfw only Zuul.

Kakaroto is working on something but it will not allow backups, only basic homebrew.
Others are working on it, but it's a very slow process atm and most are still just working on adding to cfw3.55.

So if you want something by the end of the month then only answer is to downgrade, assuming your console is downgradable, some of the newer ones arent.

I believe I can downgrade. I just wanna be able to use pkg files again. Downgrading seems like a pain so i guess I just gotta wait and see /:

Well... We will see how much pain waiting will bring then.. It could be much, it could be short... honestly, if you want it on CFW, then use an E3 flasher... It might be there will never a higher CFW, or any method that wouldn't require hardwaretinkering, such as using E3 flasher does anyway..

This is true. I'm giving it about a month and a half to two months before i go through the downgrading. Would rather save money than spend it.

I would just enjoy online for a while. If you get bored you can always buy a hardware flasher and downgrade at any point after having your fill.
