TB uses Actel (maybe im wrong), i don't know if the clones too. Interesting reading. Even progskeet uses Actel :P

The research was conducted in response to claims by intelligence agencies around the world that the silicon chips that run their defence systems are vulnerable to Trojans.
Creepy...

we need those researchers who carried out advanced code breaking on highly secure Actel/Microsemi ProASIC3 chips with sophisticated encryption, to have a go at TB.

Trojan is a brand of condoms in Australia, I would have thought it would be safer/less brutal to use TrueDildo if it were sheathed, but it seems the "protection" could ironically be it's downfall.

There are whitepapers on the P250 series chip around its weaknesses. The most promising exploit is a technique called bump mapping, but that can take months to complete. This is a very invasive method which requires a skilled techy who knows how to open the chip and exposed the innards. I guess a few months is peanuts compared to the time it will take with brute force software hacks.

Bottom line is, if someone have the will, anything can be cracked.
