I am hoping to get some more practice with my Progskeet, after the holidays. But to tell you the truth, I hate working on older consoles, because they break to easy. LOL.

So I would just need an external HD to run homebrew apps and everything? Main reason I want to downgrade is to get rid of Cinavia.

Homebrew apps are stored on the internal HDD. You can keep all your games and movies on an external.

For starters, let me start off by saying that this person is a GENIUS when it comes to Playstation 3 downgrading/unbricking and placing you on custom firmware.

I just wanted to take the time to write an honest review for playerkp420. I thank him dearly for him helping me get my ps3 on Rogero 4.30 v.2.03.

As a noob to the modding scene, I don't know quite a lot. Yeah, I did some reading on my own, but there were many, many terms that I didn't know about. Previously, I had managed to get my Playstation 3 running on cfw 3.55, but for some reason, I had a CECHH01 model ps3, and when i upgraded to rogero's cfw 4.21, it bricked my console.

I was ticked. I mean, blowed off!!

Fortunately, i was searching through the forums and found playerpk420, who not only could unbrick, but did all the extras for $50?! You KNOW that's a good deal, because anywhere else, you won't find a cheaper price than that! They'd charge you astronomical prices at your computer store for things of that nature. I paid playerkp420 $50 via PayPal, wrapped that thing up in a shoebox, paid my $15 shipping fee and got a label for it at my local UPS and off it went.

I was able to get in touch with him, and he was able to explain to me what he was going to do, how he would do it, etc. I then sent it to playerkp420 on 12-17-12 and got it back on 12-22-12. (Not bad considering the holidays.) It was sent back to me via USPS Priority Mail. He answered all of my questions throughout the entire process; kept me updated on what he was doing with my console, all that jazz. He is a very kind-hearted person and definitely trustworthy. I plan to do business with him again in the near future with my other Playstation 3 for my nephew.

Sirs/Ma'am's out there on the interwebs--if you have any doubts about this service, allow me to be the one to tell you that Kirk is the real deal. I have no complaints or issues with him and his services. That old PS3 was rattling louder than a heater in winter when i sent it to him--but he was able to return it to me, dust-free, running quiet as a mouse on Christmas Eve.

So, here I am, sitting back enjoying a nice, warm Christmas with my PS3. Thanks for your services!

Yes, me too playerkp420 is offering the best opportunity for those who want their ps3 on a CFW. like me i could afford a flasher tool but i do not want to risk it because it is 3 times the cost of playerkp420 doing it. so if you dont know what your doing send your ps3 to playerkp420. i have sent him my ps3 the other week and he is done with it right now i am waiting for it because of the holidays so it kinda delayed the shipping but its ok its not his fault. i want to say thanks to playerkp420 it was the only way to fix my rsod because my ps3 was just sitting there for 4 months. i borrowed my uncle's ps3 it is the first edition chrome/plays ps2 edition. and maybe i will send it to him to downgrade and put a cfw.
