Defyboy have the truth also even if he can use lv1.self from debug fw that don't means anything because the lv1.self debug and retail are all the time the same because what changes are the policy's being loaded also lv1.self from true blue have just one patch:

Allow mapping of any memory area

You can load lv1.self from debug or tb on 3.55.

The lv1.self (true blue) is nothing special besides the patch to mmap. About debug fw the lv2_kernel.self is a different self with more policy's like debugging, ethernet for debug purpose, etc but the lv1.self is the same on retail.

It's not an issue on which one has the largest capacity to retain data on their brains.
Everything (especially this things) some the of the points stated can be discussed in a *peacful* manner instead in going mad about the other side not being correct or the data is *old enough*.

That is how a normal scene works, but the ps3 scene has had greedy little gits in it. We have devs sharing info, but then we have those who use that info to create an exploit and instead of sharing it and monetized it for their own personal gain.

So now thanks to them, and their army of devout followers who bend over for their new deity, progress is slow.

Yes you said the truth but that not means that this stuff will do something great because these are things like you said *old enough*, not want to be rude to you, just sorry ...

I think the same, no one will come here and present a magical solution.
But i don't get why so free violence towards everything is frontpaged and posted.
I don't care if the info is *old* maybe for the ones who don't know what is the PS3devwiki can help or not.
But what i remark it's the excess of free violence towards anyone.
I can't take for granted that EVERYONE knows ps3devwiki, maybe doing a proper banner or something will lure more users to LEARN along with the wiki.
But avoiding insulting the OP in this case (me) and the news i frontpaged.

Its amazing how many self proclaimed experts come out of the woods when someone attempt to learn and publish things which may or may not be known. As Gravox mentioned English is not Zadows first language (I lived in his country before for 7 months, its truly hard to get by outside the city with just English), so reading the wiki constantly with all the views and disagreements there will just be confusing.

In my view, even if a dev comes along with no clue, but is trying - he is better than all these pseudo experts just waiting to rip someone apart for just trying. Zadow didnt make any claims like Nodex that he is going to pwn anything. He ask for constructive feedback and help. He publish what he find as is, whether its known or not. In my experience in chaos someone might notice something in his or other peoples work that isnt known yet, subtle but there is a chance.

I'm pretty damn sure he never asks for anything he posts on twitter to be front paged. Calling him a retard is a bit of a stretch.. I know people with a LOT more credibility in this "scene" than you and eussless who dont consider him a retard.
Yes I was being harsh calling him a retard, this takes the focus off my point which wasn't just an attack on zadow. This is not news and shouldn't have been news'd, it is well known by anyone who has or needs to study the firmware binaries.

I don't give a sh*t how you value my credibility, I don't see why you need to attack euss however, he hasn't even commented on the matter at hand.

It's all cool, no need to trow more wood to the fire.
I frontpaged this, even if is not news i will explain AGAIN. Scene sites are *dry* on news section.
So according *my criteria* i said, well i will frontpage something about zadow since he was silent too silent for months. I frontpaged, my bad. I cannot create news from thin air neither.
The site needs trafics, the threads needs hits. (and so on).
It's no like ps3devwiki that it's constantly updated by his users.
Here, me or greg or pirate we have to frontpage something in order to fill empty spaces.

So if you don't like what i wrote as *news* im sorry (what else i can say?).

So the only thing i ask (since i see often euss or talk time to time).
To drop this issue already.

It's too much to ask?.
