It stands to reason that Graf's work would be the basis for TB

Funny how people associate the ability of free piracy with the scene being alive.
If you think the scene is dead now then it will stay dead until more devs feel appreciated and start to make HB for the PS3. But if people keep shouting hooray for every Piracy breakthrough and throw tomatoes for entertaining HB and tools then the scene will stay dead for a long time.
Funny how people like you associate the TB being "unlocked" (or call it what you want) with everybody waiting for pirating games.
If you want to complain about ppl downloading games please take your discussion somewhere else, because this is the wrong place.

Some of us still hope for some progress and more possibilities for HB by unlocking the TB. I'm sorry for you thinking that this will lead us only to piracy.

The scene is alive again because some progress is being made. The scene was dead - not because devs made HB that only a few needed.
The scene was dead because we were stuck on a FW that would not allow us neither PSN nor playing the newest NOT PIRATED games while keeping your HB!

I dunno how much money YOU have, but I can't afford a second PS3 or a E3 or whatever there is (also because I have no idea of soldering and stuff).

I just want to say that the scene is not alive again because piracy is possible again - just because TB enables only piracy in your opinion. If I want to play a game, I buy it!
NO! The scene is alive again because TB - the virus that kept us from progress, that stole code from everybody (Sony, other devs) and then charged money for it - is about to get some KICKS in their arses!
And with the things we discover, there might be new things that could be usefull for devs.
I (as I already said) am just waiting for a way to finally play new games again while keeping my HB!

So stop complaining "ppl only want piracy!"!

This isn't ultimately about piracy, the core of this is about ridding the scene of unnecessary TB drm.

I for one am more looking forward to PS364 (which is confirmed still in development!) than playing new games for free.

Okay, a new moderator and a new rule. I hope you're fair and balanced and edit others posts and put their words in brackets for people and search engines (hits) to not see. It would also be courteous to add this new rule to the official rule list.

Don't do a drama of this, the only thing i asked was the use of brackets in order to keep a clean view ON THIS thread.
Im fair and balanced, i've done the same with @Pockets69 and anyone that wants to expose more ON THIS thread i will tell them to use brackets. (in quotes)
Don't get me wrong, im not questioning your point of view, neither what you think.
I have to follow certain rules (and some common sense) in order to the thread not ending filled with endless quotes.
But i will see what i can do regarding to your request.

I know how to apologise, and if in any way you feel offended by my comments feel free to report me or let me know.

Regards

Not every copier. flashcard & modchip had DRM, but most use copyrighted code to bypass protection. I listed a DRM NDS Flashcard, but if you look at all of the current gen flashcards they use modified NDS game code to boot and bypass the new securities. Sure, some have open source OS's R4/Acekard (Wood, AKAIO), but require using copyrighted code to boot them.

That depends on what country you reside in and it's laws about backups. I already mentioned countries where it's illegal.

How do you know what code is contained in the TB - please explain?

I also do not do not see any reason to call me all sorts of expletives, but it does not make you look any smarter.
