As promised I am glad to bring you our next edition of "20 Questions with a Dev". Let's get right into the conversation and see what Oct0xor has in store... In this edition of “20 Questions with a Dev” I was lucky enough to talk to a major contributor to the scene who kind of just came out of nowhere all of a sudden when he announced he was working on cracking the dongles. Most of you know how the dongle wars have crippled the scene due to the lack of software solutions to the 3.55 firmware wall, as well as the lack of support for games requiring a higher firmware to run without the use of a dongle. Recently you’ve seen the release of the PS3usercheat dongles reverse engineering from Oct0xor, the work from the E3 Team, and the unfortunate release of old data from Zadow28. But only one of these developers is truly geared at a full decryption and reverse engineering of the dongles, and with that I am glad to give you 20 Questions with Oct0xor.

1. How long have you been developing your own software? Because I was born in the USSR, my first pc was custom made of the available radio parts. I got my first coding experience on it with Basic MICRON and ASM. 2. What's your favorite development language and why? My fav language is Python, it is made by the gods :D 3. Are there any suggestions you would give to people who are just starting to write code? Write easily readable code xD 4. What's your Favorite video game system of all time? PS3 i think) But I play mostly on PC and NDS. 5. What’s your favorite video game? Cant pick a favorite, here are a few favorite series: Gothic, No One Lives Forever, Hitman, Quake, Max Payne, Mafia, GTA, Star Wars: KotOR, Beyond Good & Evil, Rayman, Star Fox, Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, Megaman, Uncharted, MGS, and so on... i am tired 6. You first came to the scene in a single post on a forum in April and since then have made quite the name for yourself. What got you started on cracking the PS3 dongles? Looked for new experience and knowledge. 7. You’ve cracked the PS3usercheat dongle. Which one do you plan to fully crack next? E3 Team's one, WORK ON SECURITY GUYS! ) 8. What is your end goal with dongles? Full reverse engineering. 9. How does your work with the dongles compare to what the E3 Team is doing and what do you think of their results so far? I dont know what they doing, if they will release just a clone we will see. 10. Are there any other projects that you are currently working on that you can tell us about? My ps3 relative projects at this moment is hacking dongles, some tools, some crypto, some exploits... ps3 mostly boooring at this moment, maybe I will return to underground soon. 11. Do you have any plans to work on other consoles? 3DS/Vita if I get opportunity. 12. Is there anyone you’re a fan of in the mod/homebrew community? There are a few good devs like my buddy's @FLA t_z and @naehrwert and others (they know who) 13. What do you love / hate about the current state of the Mod community as a whole? This scene is so ungrateful, but there are alot of good peoples and that keeps me going. 14. Is there anything you would like to undo in the Mod community? Sony's raids. 15. What was your favorite highlight from E3? Dont watch e3 in this year *shame* 16. What’s the funniest moment you can think of? Dont know.. let it be... Double Rainbow all the way? >_> 17. What’s the scariest thing that ever happened to you? I think It was so horrible so my brain cleared it out 18. Xbox360 or PS3 what do you prefer? PS3 of course, never had Xbox360 19. What kind of music do you like to listen to, and what’s your favorite band? Deep Purple and alot of old music, also love listening soundtracks, my fav soundtracks is "Blade Runner" and "Once Upon a Time in America" 20. Now I’ll ask the obligatory stupid question to finish this off, what’s your favorite kind of animal? @mcmrc1 I saw this earlier but was too lazy to post it here.
Some questions are just fillers, but it's good to know what Oct0xor is planning to do next.
I think this article deserves to be on the front page.
Maybe some mod will put it there later today.

It was actually flat_z
But regardless it is probably the biggest new this week.
Hopefully they will share their findings when finished.

This is way better then dongle cracking
