I'm not getting one and I'd never get a Vita if it was "XL".

 All that open space. You'd think they'd have enough wisdom to put a..... wait for it................... second analog stick right there!  But no, this is Nintendo we're talking about. They don't care what consumers want.

 typical for release dates lol, i just got my 3ds and would like a bigger screen although a bigger screen has a smaller "sweet spot" for the 3d |

Well at least Sony listened to the consumers and added a second analog this generation... going to take nintendo two gens to figure that out it seems.

Well, look at history repeat itself, in a few months time, or later next year, well see Nintendo 3DSi, but still with a single circle pad. Next its gonna come in with a 3DS Lite. The next big question, would be "which came first, The 3DS, or the 3DSXL?". Somewhat similar to, the chicken and the egg.

I have a 3ds without working l/r buttons and another one that works.... reason for getting # 1 --- hold off till vita... reason for #2 have something to do at work while vita was sent off with accidental damage protection plan.... now my boy plays skylanders and kirby on # 2 ... I couldn't tell you where it even is :->

And if they add another stick people who have orginal 3ds will just moan. They made their choice when they released the 3ds.
