Lost in transition,what to do

Guys i really dont like the drm dongles, but its sad that i am gonna have to buy one.The reason being that my laser is shot,Me and my son share the ps3 and a laser cost about R900 in South african currency.

I have been modifying all my games to play diskless for months now( A real pain sometimes).Say if i was Hippocratic and i got a TB or Cobra for my ps3 will this fix my problem with some games needing a disk in.

The dongle is actually cheaper that a laser and you know children they cant understand why the game wont run.

Recently i got virtual tennis 4 and no matter what i tried it just wont run diskless. My son was so disappointed that he could not play this game and why daddy the hero could not make it work.

Now i have a dilemma.What do i do

1-Get a laser for the ps3
2-Suck it up and buy a dongle and go against everything i stand for.
3-chk ps3 compatibility list wiki and select certain games to get that works diskless. This means go buy hardcopy take it to a friend... backup to my drive and then home again...
4-Get some help here on the forum to force tennis to work diskless.

Edit:Forgot to ask will this fix the diskless problem
