i got problem updating multiman. it freeze on mmcm logo.. can it be fixed? mine is multiman 2.09.00. want to update to 4.05.00

Delete 2.09.00 then install 4.05.00

You do NOT need a cobra dongle. Try use an app like comgenies filemanager to check all files have been deleted from the MM directory at Dev_hdd0/game/80608/... then reinstall 04.05.00.

Why stick to something old that freezes?

Have you tried remove mmCM, install 04.05.00 base plus from here: http://www.sendspace.com/file/ja54y2

Remove any external USB HDD's or devices, and try boot up mmCM from XMB.

Perhaps its a HDD issue, I noticed my copy of mmCM takes a lot longer to boot when the HDD is plugged in (especially if I add new games) , but after that its fine.

You should give that a try, once mmCM is loaded (if it loads) reconnect your HDD and click refresh connected drives.

Is your external HDD formatted to FAT32?

sorry...my fault..i mean is now im using multiman 2.09.00 and it works perfectly... i just want to update to 4.05.00,but it freeze when start loading on mmcm logo...
1st i deleted all 2.09.00 files,then reinstall 4.05.00 FULL... but still the same..
yes..all my external HDD are FAT32...
