Cloud gaming sucks!!

This is what I get:

"Your bandwidth has dropped below the minimum required for quality gameplay. "

Cloud computing does away with powerful game stations as the high spec computers doing all the work are sitting in a desert somewhere. All the game station has to is connect to cloud and relay the games. Its defo the way to go, sitting on a train with a clear sheet of film that doubles as a tab utilizing the clouds high spec gaming. Sadly wont work where im at as the internet speeds are less than dsl at times.

CloudGaming, same for Digital Distribution, will never (at least for a LONG while) the adopted standard.

You lose internet? No gaming. Company discontinues the service? No gaming.

It will never happen.

Case and point, I spent over $800 on digital game card for WWF With Authority, THQ then closed the game shortly after year 2. Now I dont even have my collection to look at because the game servers are gone. I will never do such a thing ever again. (yes i know about wap2p)

The world is not ready for a full-time online stream gaming console. There's no way Sony will do that.

How bad will the bandwidth usage be when this is released or the ps3, Does anyone know? It will be a shame or us that have a monthly limit and notice the bandwidth used after a couple hours.

Apart from that, I think it's a very awesome implement. Looks like sony is on the ball with this one. Except "Your bandwidth has dropped below the minimum required for quality gameplay", It isn't looking like a worldwide success, Will probably be aimed towards US/Asia and europe.

my guess of this news is as follows.

1. full game trials/demos to use this functionality
2. basic (teaser) gaming in sony tv's to sway people to buy a ps4
2. sony buy it to own the patents to sue others who may unwittingly infringe upon the technology
3. sony buy it so as to withhold it from potential competitors ( google / apple )

those examples are what i would do if i were a backstabbing, **** your userbase kinda corporation like sony
I Ditto that. except #3 is #1

What I've learned from cloud-anything: it can't be trusted, and it is flaky.
