I'm at this part, and I guess I'm messing up on the remove the E3 flasher. Does that include the NOR clip? I tried removing the E3flasher with leaving in the CLIP and when I put it back together it just goes to the XMB menu, not the plug in a controller.

I posted on page 122, but it was the last post, and that usually gets overlooked lol so I thought I would drop another line.

When I do the previous step I get all the OK.
read PS3 BIOS at 0x00FF8000 ... OK.
write E3 Nor at 0x00FF8000 ... OK.
Program Nor OK.

remove the E3 Flasher and re-build your ps3 (if your doing the dual boot then just unplug the clip fron the flasher rebuild the ps3 then reconect the E3 Flasher to the clip inside the hdd port)

re-insert the hdd then connect the ps3 to a TV the usual way
(if your doing the dual boot then connect the Esata stand and put your first hdd in that)

* plug in controller screen *

turn on your ps3 and you should have this on screen

IF you want to dual boot you will leave it on.
IF you want to remove it to make it look pretty take it off.

I'm going to leave it on lol. Heard there are a lot of things you can do extra with it still on.

Ok so you don't have to take it off, its more of a optional step? I wonder why my ps3 isnt giving me the Connect your controller screen then

I decided to try the flowrebuilder, but when I get to the part where it says

Select the patch file (c:\E3 Flasher programs\E3 downgrade\progskeet_patch.txt)

I don't have the progskeet_patch.txt file in the E3flasher Programs.ZIP that I downloaded. Where do I get it at?
************* [ - Post Merged - ] *************
Well neither path would get the ps3 to the screen where it says to plug in a controller. Sigh

Hey all

I am new to PS3 jailbreaking.
I am planning to buy a PS3 slim 160GB (not the superslim).
And i have some questions.

Any change that this PS3 will be hackable, or is it most likely to be a 30xx model that can't be downgraded/jailbroken?

What is consider the easiest downgrade?
E3 flasher or Teensy (Both solderless)?

Also, i want to know what to buy when using the Teensy++ downgrade/CFW install.
-Teensy++ (V1.0??)
-56 pin NOR clip
-anything else?

I prefer a more or less solderless solution like with the NOR clips.

And does anyone knows where i can get a Teensy/E3 flasher kit (Flasher, dev board, NOR clip, all in one) in/around europe? (i live in the netherlands)

Oh, and can i see on the box what type it is? (CECH 2501A/3001A).
If i can find a CECH 2501A ps3 slim, is there a big change that this one can be downgraded/jailbroken?
