here is the correct E3 Flasher Progskeet_Patch.txt ready for E3 ONLY! all credits to ps3devwiki and whoever that made it use option "Patch a byte reversed NOR dump" with ur original E3 DUMP(FII header @ offset 200) and load the provided Progskeet_patch.txt, then u have a correctly patched OFW dump with 355 COREOS ready for downgrade, after flashing and a "normal" reboot, the PS3 should give u the "Connect controller screen" Last edited by haz367; 01-12-2013 at 09:19 AM. |

Oh and some people in the netherlands that offer ps3 jailbreaking service are saying that Swiftly? discovered LV0 decryption keysm and that this makes it possible to jailbreak almost all OFW, next to the famous 3.55FW.
Is this true, and will this be possible on other ps3 slims (like CECH25xx/30xx) Oh, and i've posted a question on the previous page, not bumping, just saying. |

Hey everyone just to let you all know Ive finally got it running Rogero, so Im looking into the De-hashing part next, then off to learn how to run emulators and stuff like that! Thanks so much for all the help, and probably the future help! haha. Thanks again!
Hey Bailey In the Dehashing whats the run a QA toggle? Is this something that's already on the ps3? Or do I need to install it? I haven't messed with the ps3 yet. I'm Looking to play ROMs and stuff like that Mainly to use it as a Video player to watch MKVs and avoid that Cinava protection as I want to digitize my dvd collection |

In a very recent announcement, there were included a pretty detailed guide for how to install this latest Rogero (4.30 v2.05). Including links to files, etc.
http://www.ps3hax.net/2013/01/releas...nstead-of-ipf/ One thing that interested me was written in red text: "ATTENTION: 1- This CFW does have LV1 checks disabled and can be installed on Downgraded PS3 consoles even if not dehashed after downgrade. Just in case anyone still need to dehash, here’s the link Link —-> Dehashing Tutorial" It's not clear whether Rogero himself wrote that. But my question is: Is there any possible risk(s) to de-hashing? Because if "yes" then maybe I should not risk doing that (de-hashing)? This is assuming that I have a valid dump of my original NOR data, and my hardware flasher (teensy2.0++) - it is now permanently installed into my PS3. So can re-flash that original dump whenever necessary. Another thing I noticed was slightly above that, under the following heading: "Rogero CFW4.30 v2.03 Details ... * The CFW can be used directly for Downgrading with Hardware flashers /Flashing from FSM/Exiting from FSM, all works fine." Sadly, it doesn't elaborate any further as to HOW to do this. Perhaps that simply only changing the 3.55CFW installer files for the Rogero4.3 v2.05 one. Anyone here know anything 'bout that? |

Hi baileyscream,
I read your post and was about to flash the ps3 after soldering. However, it stopped working again. I unsoldered them twice now both tristate and sbe. but no use. If you remember both my sbe and tristate were snapped and broken. Now I checked the soldering and noticed that were I traced the sbe was also broken. Now I was wondering is there an alternative point for SBE? I read that I would need to ground tristate, how can I do that if its an alternative to connecting to SBE? Please help.

As for E3: its far more expensive than Teensy2.0++. Therefore, for personal uses I don't recommend to anyone the E3 flasher. E3 / Progskeet / NOR clips make more sense when used for providing downgrade service instead.
************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* You can easily improve your soldering skills by asking yourself questions like this: * Did you use plenty of FLUX (grease) to cover this area of the PCB before you began soldering? * How did you manage break the PCB trace when it is covered by a protective silk screen? Applied too much heat and leave the soldering iron resting on the PCB for too long? (of course, generously using FLUX does protect against this). Or perhaps it was the wrong type of solder? Lead-free solder has a higher melting temperature than lead-based solder. * Did you use a 15-20 W soldering iron with a FINE tip? Using a more powerful soldering iron with a larger tip here is a very bad idea. * Do you now actually know for certain what you did wrong? Are you confident that you have learned enough to avoid doing those same mistake(s) again? Last edited by afzoo3hax; 01-09-2013 at 04:01 PM. |
