Funny I never had this problem before
ok try recovery mode to re-install the 3.55 ofw (you have QA-dehashed like this so it should work)
then install your cfw the same way.

Yes I dehashed following the guide, but in recovery the PS3 asks for 4.25
The Dual boot works fine.

I am wondering what went wrong. I guess I will have to start over again lol.

I need some help. I have successfully downgraded and dehashed. I'm on 3.55cfw. Now I'm trying to dual boot but getting error 10000100 @ this step.
1 down / 2 up / 3 down / 4 up / 5 down / 6 down. Flashing e3 nor. Tried soldering but jacked up the linker so now I'm forced to use the clip. Can't figure it out. I am able to flash the e3 nor with bkpps3.bin changed to bkpe3.bin from sd but unable to dual boot by doing it this way. If I'm able to read and wright to both ps3 nor and e3nor successfully then what is really the issue then. Any ideas?

Could bad cut between a and b cause this? It's the only think I haven't tested but I deep cut it deep.

My board is a jsd-001.

Thanks in advance

now you will need to power the NOR by the progskeet
remove the power lead
solder bridge the r7 and r8 (if you still have resistors there then skip this step)
solder 3.3v from progskeet to vcc on the ps3
connect the progskeet to pc
do a dump cfi to check its connected (there are reports this might still fail)
do a dump (this will take longer as your powering ps3 via progskeet)
check it
re-dump your patched dump ONLY IF THE ABOVE CHECKS OUT OK
(again flashing the ps3 will take longer as its powered via pc)

remove progskeet
rebuild ps3
finnish the downgrade
do the QA dehash
done
thanks but I don't have progskeet: I only have E3 flasher. Is there some way I can do this the same??

put the 3.55 update in anyway
aslong as the switch is set to cfw and you have the cfw hdd in then it should update.
when your in the cfw what does it say in system infomation? is it 3.55 or 4.25(it may be spoofed)

1st downgrade the ps3 to 3.55 (you have done this)

2nd upgrade the E3 to 4.25 ofw (you have done this)

3rd to turn on the dual doot put your working backup and the E3 flasher downgrade file
(the one used to patch the NOR when you downgraded the ps3 to 3.55)
back on the micro sd set switches as
down down down down down up.
turn on ps3.
wait for all the lights to come on.
now it will dual boot.

This is exactly what I did after flashing e3 flash with a backup of the ps3 nor on 3.55cfw. However it wouldn't dual boot for me. I used the downgrade.bin located in dual boot files as per your tut. I will try again with the other downgrade.bin once I get off of work.
Or does this flash both and I'll have to downgrade the e3 nor?

Thanks

It was on Kmeaw 3.55 and no spoof. Yeah just would not update, kept getting that error.

I ended up doing the whole process again and this time I am on Rogero 3.7

I think I will just leave it here for now. Everything went fine again. Dehashed and all.

Thanks anyway.

How I'm supposed to match the progskeet pinout with this header board ? I mean how would I know what is what ? Like let's assume I want P20 (in progskeet 1.2) , how to know which is P20 in the header board ?

Edit: oh, forgot about the multimeter

I tried this again and BAM Bricked!!!
I bricked it before cant remember what i did but was able to unbrick using flashfun. This time the blue lights will not come up at all. They flash weak real quick like when you hit the reset. All green light are on and strong, Ive checked the clip about 5 times now and all seams well. Ive googled and use the search here and cant find a way to fix this or why its happening. It almost seems like the e3 it self might have been bricked. is there any way to force an update since i now have to be in flashfun to boot, like use a pc??

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. however i am gonna check the clip again just not tonight had a long day.

Thanks

Copy the update.bin file onto this drive, all LEDs of the progress bar will light up indicating that the upgrade has succeeded.
I partially fixed it!! the e3 flasher was corrupt. after hrs of searching i came across this and it fixed the e3 flasher corruption/brick. debricking now. thanks playerkp420 for this info. @bailey s. you should add this little bit of info in your tut for if the flasher doesn't become ready. it might come in handy for others and should be in a tut somewhere
