Media server ps3 - can I transfer game backups?

So, I wonder if it's possible to transfer game backups from pc to ps3 via media server. We can do that with movies and music, but what 'bout games. There is no option in game menu like "search for media servers", but the backup manager maybe can detect a game from other folders.
If not, how about an app, something like file manager, that allows to move files. The PS jailbreak allows to run unsigned apps, don't it? So, soon surely there will appear applications for ps3.

Not very long, maybe 15 - 20 minutes, the PS3 has a gigabyte ethernet port and so do most PC's, even if not connected directly to PC, most modern routers have gigabyte ports.

Anyhow 40GB is irrelevant, most games will be below 10GB.
