SO my PS3, (the CECH - 2501A) is good to go, by that I mean jailbreak? As its lowest ofw was 3.40.

Yes you can downgrade But you need to buy the E3 flasher and a PS(3)Key/(Jig) Then your good to go, Also follow the guides.

That means that after buying a hardware flasher, you can downgrade and jailbreak your ps3.

Or you could pay someone to downgrade it for you. Would be cheaper and less of a headache.

i saw a vid on youtube about a guy jailbreaking a ps3 on OFW 4.20...he also has an un-jailbreak file too...dats the one i got to jailbreak my ps3 but i also want to get a ps3 so once i start i can do the whole process and see if it works

No downgrading or gadgets necessary too

okay so ur sayin im basically screwed cuz im on OFW 4.20? ok then is there a way i can downgrade to lets say 3.55....u kno i think my ps3 came wit dat originally...how can i go bak to that? downgrade...but how??
