Patching Help "Game Quit: No Request Event"
I just hacked my PS3 and I'm getting the "Game Quit: No Request Event"
From what I've read it sounds like I'm patching wrong, but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. First here's what I'm using: PS3 CECHP DEX 4.21 Multiman 4.05.07 External USB 3.5" Enclosure with AC power Debug settings: Release Mode BDE USB mode (which makes my wireless controller stop working by the way?) HDD Native OK, so here's how I patched it. I popped the original disc in, copied to the Internal HDD using Multiman. transferred to my PC using FTP and followed the patching instructions which are in this video. [Tutorial] How To Run Backups On DEX 3.6+ - YouTube I found almost identical instructions elsewhere and have tried both ways. The game is Little Big Planet, the disc is 1.19 but I loaded the 1.30 dex pkg on the console as the directions told me to. Does anyone know what I could have done wrong? Thanks in advance edit: Not sure if this is worth mentioning..but if I go back to system software BD Drive mode, even the original does not play (same error) unless I erase that game update. I have tried redownloading the update and reloading the pkg but no luck Last edited by nosox5; 09-11-2012 at 08:34 PM. |

The message : game quit: no request event is normal for dex
I get it every time i mount a game in 3.55 dex with peek & poke with multiman. Not sure what cause LBP to crash. The only thing I can think of is that you need all updates (from 1.19 till 1.30) to make it work since the game might need all updates. Try it with the first update after 1.19 to test tis theory. |

Oh snap! You nailed it dude. It works with just 1.19.
So how do I load them all? Do I have to make 11 PKG updates and load them one at a time? And what do I do with the HDD? Copy the files over from just 1.30 or something else? Thanks for your help you rock! |

![]() You could make 11 PKG updates but there's a slightly faster method. 1) use PKGview to extract update 1.19 2) use PKGview to extract the next update (1.20?) 3) copy the extracted files from 1.20 over the extracted files from 1.19 4) use PKGview to extract the next update (1.21?) 5) copy the extracted files from 1.21 over the extracted files from 1.19 and 1.20 Rinse and repeat this till you reach 1.30 6) create PKG the normal way 7) install 8) ????????? 9) profit ![]() If you make the PKG this way the update will containall the files needed and the most updated param.sfo and eboot.bin Just make sure you replace the old files for the newer ones each time. You don't need to need to do anything with the HDD All the update information is stored on your internal drive. |
