because i couldn't find the "special 3.55 downgrade pup for dex machines". In the ps3devwiki article i only read that you need a 3.55 fw with lv1 patches like rogero. Could you please tell me (or anybody else cause i'm f*cked anyway) where to get this special 3.55 downgrade pup for dex machines ?

Do you think a hardware flasher could rescue my ps3? I have the backups from 3.55cex but don't want to waste money

assuming its all correct?! the name doesn't matter, cexnor.bin u have there its the converted dex right?

move on with this command
first ls in root dir, check if "cexnor.bin is there

type:

dd if=cexnor.bin of=/dev/ps3nflasha bs=1024

then take a deep breath and in my expierence it took no more then 5min max, just wait..don't tough anything, switch back to tv

then either install DEX via recovery or service mode(and in 1 way finish al steps incl "drivefix"

if u do use the Recovery menu, in Petitboot set "boot flag" to GameOS first or it won't load into Recovery if u push the buttons, instead it goes back to Petitboot, so after flashing dexbin, type into Petitboot "ps3-flash-util -g

this sets the bootflag back to GameOS, reboot normal into XMB, if u had the QA flag enabled, check it now by doing the button combo, it must not work anymore = DEX

TO be on the save side(recovery) run the "boot_gameos.pkg" once more, boots again back into GameOS, now put the console in Recovery and update with 355DEX PUP( verify with tool "cv10") to be 100% positive it's correct PUP

perhaps using the "video reset" 2 beeps, resets the bootflag, atleast the above works fine..so don't panic if it aint booting into Recovery at first :P

or u can use the Service mode files from cex2dexkit, google it

"PS3 Debug 3.55 Downgrade PUP for 3.56+ TEST kits" should be part of the 3.60 SDK leak. so I had it all along....

Guess its too late now, better luck next time
