hi, runiing latest ps3 FW, i need CFW help.

hi guys, i am running the latest 4.21 FW i want to run CFW, i have not been on the PS3 scene for some time, however now i have broken up from college i have some free time.

can someone recommend and link me to a downgrade tutorial and the latest CFW.

the website www.ps3jail.com is advertising a hacked 4.21 CFW however am assuming its fake.

also once i have gone CFW, will i be still be able to play all games from the shop, and would i still be able to use the browser? also are there any other disadvantages i should no about of going CFW 3.55

Only a hardware flasher like Progskeet or E3 can help you ....
There is no CFW 4.21 ...

Nope. Also depending on your model even that may not be possible.

@lionz24 No there isn't.You need to open the ps3 because you can only do the downgrading with a hardware flasher.

hi as you seem quite experienced, do you think it would be possible to use resource hacker to change the firmware version on a 3.55 CFW to 4.22 and then run the update which will possibly act as a general update and replace the 4.21 OFM. i have used this techinique before to downgrad windows mobile however not a ps3, do you think this may be possible.

There are a lot of different files inside sony firmware spoofing the CFW to 4.22 will achieve nothing. Only way to downgrade is using a hardware flasher at the moment. If your ps3 model is 30XX+ downgrading won't work. Sorry for the bad news but it is you either open your ps3 and use a flasher or just stay on 4.21 OFW for a long time till someone finds the ps3 3.60+ keys.
