So some "truth" Dev will try/do it ?
If this gets real , would be the end of TB DRM ,this would be more than great and the scene would be boom again. Last edited by luqi; 07-14-2012 at 04:37 PM. |

Are the devs f*cking retarded like if they know how to do this sh*t by just using a flasher then why not do it. Im not trying to be a dick but if I knew the precise timings and everything I would decrypt it and post the keys anonymously.

Not all dev's condone piracy. You can complain and try to work around that statement but homebrew != piracy. Some dev's respect the gaming industry and would prefer the games made to not be pirated. Pirating games has nothing to do with Sony. You are stealing from companies (not Sony) that put a good amount of work into it.

do you know that you need 3.60+ Lv0 dump to decrypt the rest of the ****? do you also know that with bootldr dump from ANY firmware, along with respective flash dump, you'll be able to pwn all existing consoles so far, if they allow you to read and write to flash? so, why do we need 3.55 LV0 dump? i'd like someone to explain it to me please...

You should really read up on what you're saying, you got quite a few things wrong.
We can't get a decrypted bootldr. We could make one (we don't really know how) and sign it (which we know how) but that's as close as we're gonna get for now. Why can't we dump it? There's nothing to dump. It's copied to an isolated SPU not the RAM! Therefore we can't access it. AFTER it's decrypted it though it processes it, decrypts lv0 and copies it to the RAM. Now we can access the decrypted lv0 and it's loaders from the RAM assuming we had the ability to read the RAM correctly (which we do). You can claim we have a bootldr dump but that file on the NAND/NOR is encrypted. On boot the PS3 will copy that specific file to the isolated SPU, decrypt it and start the chain. |
