If you are honest man towards me, I'll be honest an honest man towards you.
Do you think, that there would be any real demand or need (except for a few select) of obtaining or using an E3 Flasher, and do you think there would even have been talk everywhere about using the E3 Flasher to downgrade, if it could be done with a system restore? I'll give my honest answer to you in advance (but don't forget to answer me with your honest answer!), since I am going to bed. Would be a dickish move to let you wait. You cannot downgrade ANY CEX firmware(non debug firmware(Debug firmware = DEX.. and you cannot convert your ps3 to DEX unless its on 3.55, so you are not a DEX), unless you have a flasher, let it be E3 Flasher, Progskeet, all that. Btw. Try to download the MinVerChk.PUP (find it www.ps3devwiki) first, to see if your PS3 can be downgraded to a firmware as low as 3.55 first. If you cannot, it would be a waste to buy the flasher You cannot downgrade lower than your factory firmware version, so better ensure your PS3 has been at 3.55 or lower at some point, if you cannot remember it. (I typically just forgot my cool signature quote that should be written just before my name when saying goodbye, and which I came on(sounds wrong) moments ago) -DevaoPolo |

Thank you for your response, i guess ill have to buy an E3 flasher
and to answer your question, i didnt think it thru really good and just heard of an E3 flasher a few minutes ago reading around, I wish i would of kept my system at a lower version instead of doing all the upgrades. Is an E3 Flasher/Progskeet hard to configure? Last edited by chicagoishome99; 07-17-2012 at 08:54 PM. |

its np, its late anyway(here atleast). I have never used a flasher, so I am not the man to ask. I think the most important thing is that you just remember - after having dumped your flash, to ask people in here to verify it, so they can tell you whether it was dumped properly and works, or if something went wrong. Others can hopefully elaborate on that.

a flasher requires you to pull apart your system and is not at all recomended for someone who is not comfortable playing around with the insides of there console. That being said it is always possible to pay someone to do it for you I believe there are a few people on this site that offer the service. If you want dual boot (not easy to set up it requires you to open the console though its just an add on to the flasher) than you will have to buy a flasher. I however have not personally used a flasher on a PS3 so I'm not really the guy to ask either. There a few good reads on it on the web take a look on google.
