Where do PSN game updates go?

I know where disk game updates go, but am unable to find where the psn game updates go. During the last few weeks that we were able to spoof and go online I tried several psn games that updated and now say I need to update to 3.60 to play so I was hoping I could delete the updates without having to delete the entire game and reinstall it.

dev_hdd0/game/NPUS???? folder. Depends on the region. You have to know the region ID of the game & you will find the folder. The patch/updates get installed inside the actual PSN game folder it overwrite the existing game files then displays the current version of the patch under XMB game /GameDataUtility . . If you have installed a version that will not run 356+ game patch .?

You will have to delete the entire game or you can try to modify the param.sfo to 1 version higher & re install the original fix . If that don't work = delete & re install entire game..

(in case there are other reader who need more details than you really need:

By game update PSN & PKG:
either on your game itself (check the version), or game data utility.

If the pkg was not installed successfully for different reasons:
(check if you don t have any corrupted icon and delete them on the game folder- "unknown" by pressing square)
But all of that you probably did, check also on:
dev_hdd0/vsh/task about pkg or icon.

One easily check to know if you got unfinished (so not successful) installed pkg is to go to setting: turn off on user. If you got the line saying you want to turn off your ps3 after all the downloading are finished, that s mean you have something inside task folder.

Check the page on the wiki to make sure you don t delete anything important:

http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/Project_Database_(PDB)

Also for general cleaning, you can delete the video flash file if you have used your internet browser, i don t remember exactly where they are located but easy to find and you can check/read them from Showtime in case you want to make sure.

Important: having task/00000001 is normal, and suggest to don t delete anything more than icon or pkg on task folder
