I am saying that devs has INFORMED people that they will no longer try to look deeper into DEX firmwares. **** it, if there are loopholes or not, of course they do not magically vanish, the case is, there will no longer be looked for them. I have seen devs made that statement. I haven't stored the source, which imo does not matter, the thing is... Devs will stop looking into DEX firmwares, so _nothing_ more will come of this - at least according to the devs that has made this statement, and its most likely that a lot more could possibly have come. And if not, they would - hopefully if they were not dicks- have leaked it by then.
Why would they stop looking into it? I don't know, but its probably because they think, this was leaked in a premature stage, before they finished working with it, and now they are gonna patch it in the future, so its gonna be wasted work in their eyes, don't you think?

Regardless of whether there are loopholes or not in the existing firmwares, which could lead to future CFW or similar exploits not related to the now-going-to-be-patched-DEX-firmwares that we could utilize in the future, they are not going to be searched for now. At least not by the devs that worked with this before. Some other devs might come along, and look more into this, but its not like this scene is rich with devs, I guess we can agree with that?
If there had been a lot of devs that didn't know about this, which could now utilize it and up the research, then the picture would have been different, it would have been nice and the devs that didn't leak would have been smugs.

But, whatever, for whatever its worth, since its out now, it would be stupid not to utilize what we already know about it, thanks to the devs, to its fullest. I myself, am going to use it as well, although I don't really know what to think of the leak...
I'm glad zecoxao made that early guide though, now that this asian guy leaked it anyway.

indeeds. i checked the link to the file (that has been on the wiki since the 5th of july) and it has been removed. Firmware needs to be stored offline for situations just like this. I used to store ALL firmware files offline on my HDD, just like all service manuals (which i still have). But the firmware got lost during a format and as a result i couldn't be bothered to re download all FW versions

I dont understand verry well how this CEX2DEX thing works, but i have an epic question: If i convert from CEX2DEX i can play 3.6x backup games, right? Or just 3.6x disc games on CFW?
