first of all, thank you very much for this tut.

im stuck on step 3. it seems the backup of my flash is written to my external storage, but for some reason i am not able to see the file Backuprflash.bin within my win7 machine. sure enough ive already changed my folder options to being able to see hidden files. tripple checked that.
on page 3 there was a user with the same problems, who figured out a workaround, using his spare cfw ps3, but i dont have that luxury. is there anyone, who can help me with that, please?

to clarify:
my ps3 (3.55 other os++) is in service mode and off. i plugged the usb (fat32) in, next to the br-drive, turn ps3 on, screen stays black, but usb led is blinking for about a minute. ps3 turns itself off, usb on pc (win7 64bit premium) only shows the two files advance.cfg and lv2diag.self, i previously copied over.
is there some kind of explorer, which would enable me to see the flash backup, if there is one?

Now my PS3 will turn a Green light, turn Yellow then keeps blinking Red.

I guess my luck is over.

I will try to use some of the dongles I have around to put it back in service mode, but apparently is not even reading the USB.

SeeYa!
why won't you try changing the config file to exit the service mode?

like this:
########################################################
#Service MODE function
# 0 = Nothing
# 1 = Exit Service mode
# 2 = Entering in Service mode. (need lv1 patch or JFW MA)
;1

i never needed the Lv2diag_exit.self to exit the service mode.
