I'm doing the 9th step and when I click on CEX -> DEX at the end it shows me :
-CMAC : Fail !
What should I Do ?
I've got an PS3 80Gb version (Fat) and I used eEID0 Dumper made by DemonHades and Blackotoo

read the tut.. there is nothing written about this... you mixed things up here and highly risk a brick of your PS3!!!!

first check if your fat is a NAND or NOR model.. you see it with the CECH Number.. and then look at ps3devwiki there you find the list which model got which flash.. .
go strict on with the tut from first to last step and read the whole thread there are little bugs described there and how to fix these....

Hi dudes i have done the whole tut now when i get ti install 4.11 dex it says no applicable data anybody else had this?? any info would be great

@DANNY G : You must use the downgrader (check the news)
@zaphod : I've checked everything before beginning this tutorial and I've used DH's eEID0 Dumper because I get error when I try to create a new partition when I want to Install Red Ribbon

dude im not trying to downgrade im trying to install 4.11 dex

Is there a problem if I am on DEX and I replace the internal HDD of the PS3???
Can I format the new HDD?
