Maybe around next week I will work on the confirmed guide, my new PS3 hasn't arrived yet, but as soon as I get my hands on it, I will start working on the revised guide. Hopefully, I will be able to make the DEX-to-CEX guide once and for all LOL.

Btw, I don't make the guide now, because I don't wanna make assumptions of any procedure, I wanna make sure by trying it myself first, so I don't lead anyone to a brick.

PS: Thanks to @zaphod for the recommendation

Hello CaptainCPS-X,

Currently I am trying to figure out a way to switch from DEX to CEX easily and vice versa. I have been reading through the NOR guide. Where latest mmCM allows you switch from DEX to CEX or CEX to DEX.

I really wonder if that method works for NAND PS3.

Before I converted my PS3 to DEX, I have made a backup using the backup utility. Now that I am in Rogero 3.55 DEX, the backup utility is not present in the XMB.

I am really looking forward a way to switch to DEX to CEX. So that I could install Rebug 3.55.2. Than I could restore my backups. And switch to CEX to DEX.

Thanks. Looking forward to your switching guide!

dont trust the size the windows-explorer shows...

rght klick on the file than options and look at the size in byte...

should be exactly looking like this: 256 MB (268.435.456 Bytes)

thats the size which is pointed out in the HowTo....

dont have a progskeet... theory says yes cause preloader dumps the complete NAND like a hardware flasher (dont bother the shadowed code from hv i think.. see ps3devwiki for details)

your files seems to be to small.. still downloading them.. wait 10 min...

/edit
flash NAND seems ok, size fits the bytes i have checked (see devwiki what you can check manually) also fits..

but its up to you to have the balls to flash it
dont blame me if you bricked.... i hope you will not..
/edit off

Finaly I have managed to transform my PS3 into DEX. I'm on 4.11 DEX. MGS HD work great from external HDD. I used PS3Gen to transfer game on HDD.
