between 1 - 3 disconnects per week randomly
and when i try to use my Playstation Eye (just bought) in chat i will get kicked off from PSN after 10 secs
i can literally count to 10... waiting for Sony's response
but the random log offs started when i installed 2.20 happened more often when i first installed but now less frequent so you take that however you want

Well I'll just get a random freeze now and then since I upgraded to FW 2.20... Getting annoying. Sony should've fixed the major bugs like these before releasing 2.20

well i had been playin san andreas for a while, so i didnt even get online for a while. Then finally i went back onto cod4 and my online play was lagging terribly but im not sure the cause of it. But ya after each time i quit a game, or search for media servers, or close the browser i get signed off of the PSN. I know its weird, but the signing off has been goin on for a bout 3 weeks now.

What is a Firewall?
-----------------------
A firewall is a security product that employs a combination of hardware
and software to prevent
unauthorized users or Internet traffic from gaining access into a
private local area network (LAN)
or personal computers.

If your PLAYSTATION(R)3 computer entertainment system is located behind
a firewall, you may be able
to create a network configuration file, but still experience problems
in connecting to game servers.
You may also encounter problems in both hosting and joining online
games.

How Do I Get Around My Firewall?
--------------------------------------------
If your PC or your router has a firewall, the easiest way to circumvent
this problem is to connect
your Ethernet cable directly from your cable or DSL modem to the
PLAYSTATION 3 system.

If this option does not work, it is possible to configure your firewall
to allow online traffic for
your PLAYSTATION 3.

If you are able to create a successful network configuration file, but
unable to connect to any game
servers, verify that the firewall setup within your network is not
preventing a valid connection.
If your firewall is preventing a valid connection, you have several
options:

1. Configure your firewall to allow information to flow in from the
ports mentioned above.
2. If you are using a router, configure your router to run the
PLAYSTATION 3 connection through a
DMZ (de-militarized zone). DMZ configures your firewall in such a way
that it places your
PLAYSTATION 3 console outside of your firewall. A PLAYSTATION 3 in a
DMZ can use and receive the
entire Internet without any restrictions. (Caution: DMZ is not
protected by a firewall.)
3. If you are not using a router, you may want to contact your Internet
Service Provider (ISP) to
see if there is anything on their network that can be adjusted to allow
your connection.

If you do not have a firewall, please check with your ISP to verify
there are no connection
limitations. Also, you may want to ask if your ISP blocks certain
Internet port ranges and supply
them with the UDP and TCP port ranges in this email for verification.

IMPORTANT: Only advanced users or network administrators should attempt
configuring firewalls. We
do not recommend modifying your firewall unless you know exactly how it
works. Each firewall is
different and may require some type of custom setup.

It may be best to contact the manufacturer of the device (i.e. router)
or publisher of the software
(i.e. Norton, Sygate, etc.) for information on how to properly
configure your firewall to allow
online traffic for your PLAYSTATION 3. Sony Computer Entertainment
America (SCEA) does not have
information specific to any firewalls at this time.
