save editing is wayyyyy more difficult. a whole security system on its own.
we need to figure out what went wrong in our conversion process, because if we do so others will profit an everyone will be able to create fixes. so I am preparing an upload where every GT5 fan can try. I am packing the tools and the update PKGs together right now. |

How did you get the US version working?, I've installed patches 1.05 - 1.13 plus the fix, you run the game it looks like it's attempting to load then reboots and gives you an error code...

same here in EUR version, but different error 80010009. I guess it is the eboot that is giving a problem. the 1.13 patch (1.12 to be correct, because the 1.13 does not contain an eboot.bin at all) should be 3.60 signed. so I put it in PS3 Tools GUI and decrypted and resigned it. It says 3.41 after that. I dunno if we can encrypt this with 3.55, but it should not make any difference on 3.55, right?
Or could this be the mistake? Does the 3,41 eboot create an error on 3.55? From my understanding it shouldn't, because 3.55 has the keyset for 3.41 also. |

Has anyone got the US version plus 1.13 to work? or is the fix broken?
I don't understand what I've done wrong, I deleted the GT5 game data, put the original 3.55 param.sfo back in the game disc dir (i did edit it to be 3.41 when i had 3.41 installed). installed all the patches in order plus the fix twice (2 attempts at getting it working) but it always chucks out the same error code as if the eboot is wrong. |

from what I know: you do not have to mod the eboot.bin or param.sfo in the GAME DISC folder since they are not used. which files are important for the boot process are the ones in the update created pkg folder (dev_hdd0/game/).

************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* IT'S ALIVE! As I feared it is an error in the eboot.bin. Either it is not signed correctly by PS3 Tool GUI or something else. BUT it does boot with the BCUS eboot.bin from another PKG! The strange thing: only 512 bytes are different in the two eboots. Unfortunately it blackscreens after the Polyphony screen and the HDD seems to look for some files. So I suppose: If someone can make the untouched PKG to boot, then it is the one who made the other eboot. I also tried to sign the Eboot from the 1.12 patch, but I'm continually failing. The Problem is I get the Error 800100009 everytime I try to start the Game.
After I have read the post of naddel81 I took a closer look to both of the Eboots with the help of the "readself tool", which is integrated into "PS3Tools GUI Edition v3.2" I posted both logfiles under the Names so you don't have to download the Eboots (Both are already reencrypted with the keys). The Differences I've found are all above the Header "Encrypted Metadata" (Which I Bolded). The interesting part IMO is that the app version from BCES00569 is 3.65.0 and in the BCUS98114 it is 3.85.0. Also in the BCES00569 there is no content ID.... I don't know if this is really important, because I'm no Dev.
