I have a ps3 fat white.
- OFW 3.66
- model CECHH06

and want to downgrade it to 3.55.. saw the banner on the upper part of the forums and end up on this link

Part 1 is saying that if i dont have 3.55 OFW ill just download the .pup file and update via storage media

can i use this to downgrade my ps3? because nothing is stated what compatible psp OFW that can use the guide. THANK U

Number 3 on what you need says : PS3 on firmware 3.55 or lower!

The only way to downgrade from above 3.55 to 3.55 is by flasher.
Maybe if newer keys get released it will be possible through software but right now it isn't.

Get an E3 flasher or a progskeet to downgrade or wait to see if more keys get released and hope for a software downgrade in future.

the TEENSY++ guide is done
E3 Flasher guide is under development (not done yet)

you can use any of the above to downgrade your ps3 as it's a NOR model

does it mean Teensy++ or Progskeet/ or E3 Flasher

do i have to pick just one method? if so.. what method do u suggest. the easier and less complicated one ( if there is)

and one more thing i saw this also stated

"THE NEW UNDOWNGRADABLE PS3'S HAVE JUST THE HDMI OUTPUT ON THE REAR (NO COMPONENT OUT)"

wondering if my psp fat is a new model because on this ps3 sku model link http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/SKU_Models , ps3 fats dont have hdmi CEC. mine does. and an AV MULTI OUT port

yah. probably.. saw a vid on youtube on how to downgrade using an e3 flasher. one question.. after i successfully downgrade and installed cfw 3.55 on my ps3 using an e3 flasher, is that cfw permanent? i mean if i remove the e3 flasher and dongle downgrader. will it not brick my ps3 or remove the cfw 3.55?

i might just borrow an e3 flasher and a dongle from someone.

as all 3 can be clipped (yes even the TEENSY++) they are all easy to use.
the TEENSY++ is the cheeper option. buy it with the pins soldered (see the guide for more info) buy the progskeet NOR clip & jumper wires.

you can downgrade all phats (as you said it has the hdmi on the back)
its the new slims that cannot downgrade.

Once you downgrade you can remove e3 flasher and dongle. It will be like you never had anything different. You can update to an ofw or another cfw, but you have qa flag first to dehash or you will brick.

like @Bigbones87 said. you can remove it.
and you can also de-hash while your in fsm (factory service mode) as soon as i add the no blueray drive 3.55 firmware to that part.

and before you ask the de-hash removes the "downgrade hash" and the "patch hash" that you did to downgrade. if you dont de-hash then try to put a differenf firmware on then your ps3 will "soft brick"
