Ps3 bricked in Restore bios step
Hi,
I just got my customers 2nd ps3 of the day to downgrade from 4.00 and jailbreak. Evrything went fine, bios was extracted and saved in my PC. Checked with Nor dump checker and no errors. In the restore step (all switches down), it flashed me an error [[i think it was 10001111 Failed to write PS3 BIOS]]--> not sure though So i felt its the card, i wiped and tried again.. but when i turned on ps3.. it was bricked.....i get beeping red light on power..huh  : (Now did the usual tri state soldering and i was able to start the ps3 in flash fun mode and i am some wat happy... When i put the bios(official)(own) and hit start.. it gives me 10001100..do u suspect something.. or its still saying clip not seated properly...any thoughts... i have tried assembling it all over 3 times. Note: it never completed the downgrade, its bricked in official 4.00fw ** hopefully the backup bios is not faulty because i double checked with nor dump checker and it had no errors** Last edited by aneeshchennai; 05-23-2012 at 02:25 PM. |

I'm finding that my ps3 is doing the exact same! I try and reflash with both my 3.55 fw and 4.11 ( it bricked on 3.55) it's just giving me the 10001111 error both with my switches set to 100000 and 000000

same here... and funny part is ps3 boots in ps3 mode (all switches down) without beeping red lights... even thouigh its soldered- it needs to turn on only in flash fu mode according to the e3 theory

Well I really don't know the procedure of patching bioses but I for sure know that something is screwed up ! I reckeon if you could manually wipe the nor ( maybe with a magnet) not a clue but if you could... It may be possible to rewrite the nor ?

I got the standard edition with a had caddy and esata cable (btw they also sent me a e3 linker ? )

so it's the limited if you have the E3 linker. I want to know if the other users can report which version of E3 flasher purchased.

I know it's the standard one cause I only paid £35 for it from lightake but I think they chucked in a free e3 linker cause of the trouble I had with them my hdd caddy I purchased separately

Yeah and I have the samsung nor I believe I flashed the multi ps3/ samsung update to it but I remember having trouble trying to find it
