Just a final thing. I load a game in multiman . it loads and exits to xmb. i pop in a blu ray movie disc. then go to video column and click to start the disc and instead of the movie the game starts. rite ??

i think you still need to start if from the GAME column.
you just can keep the game or movie in the drive before loading up multiman.

so you select a game in multiman, hit x , it exits to the xmb you scroll to the bluray drive icon (under game) and if things worked you should see the game you want to start (as if it's inserted in the drive) , and hit x to start it.

i was about to check it for you since i do own original games and movies, but i just found out my drive won't eject anymore...lol , lucky for me there's still a game inside.

i switched drive cables between 2 ps3's, so i must have messed up something there, but who cares.

EDIT:
@DEFAULTDNB , did you find a job?, because i have to help out overhere, and i'm not used to that.

Then input a PS3 game disc and the bluray drive and after that go to your game list within multiMAN... PRESS SELECT+X...on whatever game you want to play...wait for a few moments...you should be redirected too XMB ...then go up and you will see the game you wanted to play ... click on it and it will boot up..have fun. Side Note: Some games will result in blackcreen if you dont have correct eboot fix/patch for the game. You can reference the forums here for more information on it.
Thank you! You atleast fixed my problem while trying to run a backuped game (using the select + x combination).
