ON NOR CONSOLES You can USE E3 FLASHER (CLIP)IF YOU CAN DOWNGRADE YOUR PS3, EVEN IF YOU CAN DOWNGRADE YOU HAVE TO DO TRISTASTE/SBE SOMETIMES.

im entirely against this sentence.
E3 flsher is the worst thing ever happen to downgrading.
not only the clip is bad but also the dump are sometimes messy.
if you know how to solder choose progskeet ...

I really hope this stops at least some noobs from posting/spamming the help section with questions already answered on the banner.

hey @lordofcombo can you explain or give me a link why progskeet better? i'm looking to get a flasher and having a hard time finding good solid reviews as to what is the best route to take with these hardware flashers (please keep in mind i'm a novice with hardware flashers) so prefer something that is easier and not going to break the bank

Progkseet, but read ps3devwiki too for checking and validating dumps

Progskeet was the first one to appear in the scene as a hardware flasher by uf6667 it's the best one but you have to solder.
Then you have E3 flasher for NOR consoles...good quality, easier to handle but a nightmare with the clip if it's not seated right.

I used IDE cables for soldering, and gun 35w one. I mess up so many times i lost count. But you can check on EFnet (irc) on channel #ps3downgrade and ask there for better and accurate responses than mine on that area. Im trial/error guy xD

kk sounds good i'm going to bed, but tomorrow will def check it all out think i'm going to have to go with a progskeet seeing that i have 1 nor ps3, 2 nand ps3, and heck might have to crack open my xbox360 for the hill of it haha just because i can with a progskeet might learn some good soldering skills and learn something about programming boards and what not haha just wish they were more in the $25-40 price range, these hardware flashers seem over priced to me but what do i know about how much they cost to make haha
