@sandungas I had to resurrect the thread because I had an unique idea in the form of a question so here is it: "Is there a way to allow music playback with all games through one .pkg file thats installed to enable music playback similar to how you disable Cinavia protection for videos?
That would be one hell of a Homebrew application instead of editing Param.sfo files individually for each various game.

Exactly. I think our respected developers around here can make this dream come true.

Can you do this by editing just a file? I never heard of it I thought the game devs had to put that in if the ps3 cant handle cross voice chat then idk how it could handle playing our own music which I want badly since I was so use to that on my old 360

@R3QU13M
,
probably one debug option (will work also on cfw rebug) will make it automatically (like said in other thread but can t found it now) but increase a little the loading/launching time. Check the option (forgot the name) with game who say it can not be play (and not the message saying in a while). I ll make some test today but if you know which titles don t work it ll be nice to double cross our results. |

@R3QU13M
,
there are fews list around internet. You can contribute by reporting on the wiki here: http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/Talk:..._compatibility or in this thread (but if on the wiki, there are may be people from other forum who can join) The table is not the best and only 3 titles right now (probably it will be move to own page if we can have decent list ) The case of Child of Eden is the good case where you just need to enable the function on param.sfo to make it working ( but need to replace the SFO from install pkg or rebuilt the data base because it s hdd content) Easy to test will be from regular disc game. To prepare sfo with background music is something more easy than it seem if you use recent tools homebrew or leaked generator. I use hexa editor for my cooked sfo but it s not required in this case. The "hard" part is to test game per game, and update case. There are already debug option (dummy BGM or other) who can do exactly (i guess) what you can do from SFO. So for me, there are already everything needed but just to make sure which option and which game will work. After even with debug option ON or edited param.sfo, fews games (most of them are old agmes compiled with SDK 2.40 or less) will still not work (as Sandungas said, the FW will be fine, saying the music will be play in a while but either will not or just after long time). And here it will be because of the eboot itself. You also might consider to make it working or why it s not working because others possible conflicts with other setting/process enable automatically (from eboot) or on XMB ( so try to turn off everything possible who can use the ram). |

http://www.ps3hax.net/showpost.php?p...2&postcount=16 (page where i found them is dead) also that walking dead demo for 3.40 has background music, and great idea's freeing ram, but my guess its something in the eboot/elf. how about patching syscalls? any related?

I figured out how to have any music you like while you play any game you like, without compromising RAM.

![]() Seriously though I hope you guys figure it out, would be a great feature for any CFW.
