New AACS Key for the 3.55 CFW?
Hi Guys,
I'm kinda in a tough Spot right now because bought I some new Blu-Ray Movies lately and I was so happy to watch them on my PS3. But I couldn't because they need new AACS Keys and I can't update my Firmware because I would lose the Ability to watch Region A/C Blu-Ray's (I have an european PS3). So my Question is if there is a way to watch those newer Blu-Ray Movies without having to give up on my CFW? Thanks in Advance, WienerWuerstel |

Unless you can extract from a newer firmware and resign for 3.55 you have no chance.

Thank you for the fast response btw and I'm sorry if I may annoy you with my Questions but I'm kinda out of touch with the PS3 Scene right now. ************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* . Also you lose some Quality with a rip and it would make no sense to watch a rip when you have the full Quality Blu-Ray in your Hand |

Noone can - based on what we know - extract it from 4.2x FW. At least not anyone in the public as mentioned. DEX firmware won't work. DEX firmware doesn't have BR playback. So for now, don't even bother with the thought of DEX and whether multiman can run on it, if you plan on changing to DEX for the BR playback. |

Now I know that buying a codefree Blu-Ray Player is the best Option right now and that the Dex Firmware isn't the Solution that I hoped for. |

Math had a Blu ray fix for dex with his old old release. I don't know if it works however.
it had files from CEX that made Blu ray playback avaiable. some selfs and a Lv2diag.self. it seems that DEX firmware is lacking them. but if you have add them, you might loose playing backups from external through its emulator.
