I have one of the old fat ps3 with the dual eye drive and I took the same exact drive from another ps3 same model number and put it in and it is still not reading disks. Am I missing something or is something not getting hooked up right?

(I am new to this site so if this was already posted somewhere please direct me to it)

can u play any psn games ?. could be logic board , or wires not plugin propley

I dont have any hard drives with any games on them yet. I gotta download one and see. And all wires are hooked up

if a demo psn game dont load up then its more likely your logic board

Ok little update I downloaded a game to it and it plays the game with no problems and also one drive will start to read the disk but makes a weird loud sound kind of like a rubbing sound and then stops reading the disk
